Services for Corine Evans will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Lula M.B. Church in Rolling Fork with the Rev. O.C. Peace officiating. Burial will follow at Green Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Redmon Funeral Home in Hollandale.

Mrs. Evans died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

A former Rolling Fork resident, Mrs. Evans was retired from South Delta Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Evans Sr.; two daughters, Delores Hoggart and Corine Evans; and two sons, Henry Evans and Ike Evans.

Survivors include five daughters, Rebecca Johnson and Evelyn Dent, both of Vicksburg, Amanda Diggs of Rolling Fork, Yvonne Holmes of St. Louis and Doritha Evans of Hawthorne, Calif.; seven sons, James Evans, Commie Lee Evans, Donnal Evans and Leonard McGhee, all of Chicago, Dan Evans Jr. of Vicksburg, Alvin Evans of Stoneville and Reginald Evans of Laurel; one brother, Darris Hobbs of Chicago; 30 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
