Jeans, fish, tank gear missing in burglaries

Two pair of Girband jeans with a combined value of $100 and a 19-inch RCA television valued at $100 were reported missing Thursday at 3:09 p.m. from the 100 block of Athens Avenue.

A one-pound goldfish, black algae eater, fish tank pump and filter were reported missing Thursday at 4:01 p.m. from the 2000 block of Cherry Street.

City man injured in wreck on 61N

A Vicksburg man injured in a one-car wreck on U.S. 61 North early today was treated and released, a spokesman for River Region Medical Center said.

Christopher Hoxie, 24, 400 Warren St., was southbound near the highway’s intersection with Interstate 20 when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a bridge at about 2:40, said Vicksburg Police Sgt. Jackie Johnson.
