Chestine S. Schneider died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at her residence. She was 79.

Born in Warren County, Mrs. Schneider was a lifelong resident of Redwood. She was the daughter of the late Chester Allen Sanderford and Minnie Ousley Sanderford. Mrs. Schneider was a loving wife and mother, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother and a faithful friend. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Blackwell of Decatur and Brenda Welch of Vicksburg; two sons, Chester “Chuck” Schneider and his wife, Chris, of Vicksburg, and William “Billy” Schneider and his, wife Mary Lou, of Natchez; six grandchildren, Corey Schneider, Stephanie Schneider, Marty Welch, Michelle Welch, Dewaine Ferguson and Billy Schneider; and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herman Schneider; a grandson, Shane Holmes; and a brother, W.A. Sanderford.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie O’Quinn officiating.  Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 until 5 today at Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be granddaughters and grandsons of Mrs. Schneider.
