LOS ANGELES — Huey P. Sheriff died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at Centinela Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 72.

Survivors include his daughter, Denise Sheriff-Jones of Los Angeles; a son, Kevin Sheriff of Los Angels; two sisters, Almethia Torrey of Raymond and Elma Carter of Jackson; two brothers, Daniel Sheriff Jr. of Jackson and Walter Sheriff of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Mary Coates of Los Angeles.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Seven Springs United Methodist Church in Raymond with the Rev. Clifton Goodlow officiating. Burial will follow at Bracey Cemetery in Raymond. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Westhaven Funeral Home.
