Louisiana man jailed on battery charges

A Louisiana man was held this morning in Issaquena County Jail for Missouri authorities on battery charges following his arrest in Vicksburg, police records show.

Nicholas Rushing, 26, 194 Cypress Circle, Columbia, La., was arrested at 5:08 p.m. at Battlefield Drugs, 3040 Indiana Ave., after being served a warrant for his arrest on second degree battery charges in Plattsburg, Mo., Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Vicksburg police and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics officials cooperated on the arrest, Stewart said, adding he also faces charges by the state narcotics agency for possession of a controlled substance and prescription forgery.

He was held without bond.

ATV reported missing on Fonsylvania Road

A green, 2006 Honda Rancher all-terrain vehicle valued at $3,500 was reported missing from a home in the 400 block of Fonsylvania Road, Warren County Sheriff’s Department records show. 

County woman charged for stolen property

A Warren County woman was released from Warren County Jail on stolen property charges, jail records show.

Cynthia Jeandron, 29, 581 Stenson Road, Lot 10, was arrested at 1 p.m. Monday on receiving stolen property charges.

She was released on $7,500 bond.

City woman jailed on embezzlement charge

A Vicksburg woman was held this morning in Issaquena County Jail on embezzlement charges, police records show.

Tashika Sanders, 19, 450 Lake Hill Drive, was arrested at Family Doller, 1305 Mission 66, at 4:48 p.m. and charged with embezzling an amount more than $500, Stewart said.

She was held on $5,000 bond.
