Services for Edgar Price Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Alban M.B. Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Robbins Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.

Mr. Price died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 89.

Mr. Price was a member of Mount Alban M.B. Church. He served in the Army and was retired from Waterways Experiment Station.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Price Sr. and Lizzie Robb Price; one daughter, Mizella Cook; five brothers, Joseph Price, George Price, Alex Price, John Henry Price and Sedric Price; and five sisters, Gertrude Washington, Mary Alice Jenkins, Julia Sanders, Corean Price and Mizella Price.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Price of Vicksburg; five sons, Edgar Price Jr., Allen Price, Norman Price, Michael Haggins and David Kelly, all of Vicksburg; five daughters, Gwendolyn Dillard, Diane Haggins, Annie Haggins, Betty Kay Haggins and Georgia Nash, all of Vicksburg; one brother, Walter Price of Chicago; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
