Fatina L. Johnson died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Canton Manor in Canton, Miss. She was 46.
A native of Natchez, Miss Johnson was a Vicksburg resident for a number of years and had lived at Canton Manor for the past year.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Ann Hollingsworth; a stepfather, Fred James; her maternal grandparents, Marvin E. and Effie A. Dampier; and an uncle, David Scott.
She is survived by five brothers, Anthony James, Walter A. “Butch” James and Prentiss D. “Coon” James, all of Vicksburg, Fred E. James of Charlestown, Ind., and Waylon Carroll James of Denham Springs, La.; three sisters, Ann Whitehead of Vicksburg, Gislea L. “Dee” Delanoix of Baton Rouge and Christy Gayle Morgan of Meridian; an uncle, Marvin Dampier and wife Jo of Vicksburg; her caregivers, aunt and uncle Wanda and John Callen and their daughter Tracey Evans of Vicksburg; and aunts, Juanita Scott of Tampa, Fla., and Darlene Smith and husband Robert of Vidalia, La.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. P.J. Curley officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Natchez City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m Saturday until the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Callen, Robert Smith, Donald Bertelson and Ben Dampier.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William Wooten, Dr. Sadler of Canton and employees of Canton Manor and Providence Hospice of Vicksburg.
