A pair of Josh Perry 3-yard touchdown runs put the Eagles ahead 35-0 at the half as the starters sat out the second half. Jason Greer, who hit all five of his PAT attempts, nailed a 41-yard field goal to round out the scoring for Porters Chapel, which will likely play Tallulah Academy at home on Friday in the first round of the MPSA Class A playoffs.

Tallulah 28, Briarfield 14

Jes Shivers scored two second-half touchdowns as the Trojans likely clinched a playoff berth with a road win.

Cody Landrem put Tallulah (7-4) on top with a 5-yard run early in the first and Jacob Hopkins scored on a 1-yard run to knot the contest at 7-all. Justin Howrath broke the tie with a 1-yard plunge to put the Trojans up 13-7 at the half. The stingy Trojan defense allowed only 174 yards on the ground.

Hopkins completed the scoring for Briarfield in the fourth with a 25-yard TD pass to Ridge Creech. Despite the loss, Briarfield (8-3) has clinched a playoff berth. It will face Hebron Christian.

Marcus Shears added 106 yards on eight carries with another score.
