Mary Elizabeth Purviance

PORT GIBSON — Mary Elizabeth Purviance died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at the Methodist Specialty Care Center in Flowood. She was 19.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Port Gibson. She was one of God’s little angels and was loved by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hollis and Olive Purviance; and her maternal grandfather, William D. Lum Sr.

Survivors include her parents, Hollis Lang and Deborah Lum Purviance; and a sister, Martha Brady Purviance, all of Port Gibson; two brothers, Hollis Tripp Purviance of Vicksburg and William Lum Purviance of Port Gibson; and her maternal grandmother, Martha Brady Lum, of Port Gibson.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson, where services were conducted by her uncle, Doug Lum.

Glenwood Funeral Home of Port Gibson was in charge of arrangements.
