A look at how college football players with ties to the Vicksburg area did in games played over the weekend:

* Southern Illinois running back Larry Warner (Warren Central) carried the ball 21 times for a career-high 256 yards and two TD’s in a 40-21 win over North Dakota on Saturday. Warner scored on runs of 75 and 10 yards, and returned five kicks for a total of 65 yards.

* Southern Miss safety Chico Hunter (WC) had two solo tackles and one assist in a 70-14 rout of UAB.

* Mississippi College linebacker Quartez Ashmore (Vicksburg High) had three solo tackles, one assist, two tackles for loss and a sack in a 30-14 win over Howard Payne.

* Millsaps defensive back Marcus Harris (VHS) had two solo tackles, one assist and one tackle for loss in a 56-27 victory at Trinity University.

* Millsaps linebacker Marcus Stokes (VHS) had one solo tackle, four assists, and one-half sack in the win at Trinity.

* Delta State defensive end Jesse Pedyfoot (WC) and defensive back Garret Williams (South Delta) each had one QB hurry in a 48-14 win over Arkansas Tech.

* Louisiana-Monroe cornerback Otis Stamps (WC) had five solo tackles in a 31-30 win over Troy.
