Vicksburg police seek help finding drug suspect

Vicksburg police today were asking for help in finding a man sought on two counts of possession of controlled substance stemming from an undercover investigation, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Adam Trimane Walker, 32, is described as a 5-foot-6, 200-pound man with the last known address of 719 Dabney St.

City man reports attack on Pearl

A Vicksburg man was treated and released from River Region Medical Center after he was attacked Wednesday night in the 2200 block of Pearl Street, Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

The man said he was struck in the head by an unknown object at about 10:11 by an unknown man, said Stewart.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-10 man, about 20 years old and 175 pounds.

AC, shoes, heater hot in Vicksburg thefts

Several items were stolen in the city Wednesday.

* A GE window air conditioner valued at $199 and two gas heaters valued at $150 each were reported missing at 11:19 a.m. from the 1600 block of Main Street.

* A pair of red and black Air Force Jordans valued at $120 was reported stolen at 9:45 p.m. from the 200 block of Cedars Road.

Three people injured in two city wrecks

Two Chicago women and a Vicksburg teenager were injured in two wrecks Wednesday, according to Vicksburg Fire Department records.

* Glenda Hopson, 59, 5471 S. Park, Apt. 9-B, Chicago, and Mariah Moore, 70, 1624 W. 89th St., Chicago, were treated and released from River Region Medical Center following a two-car accident at 6:07 p.m. in the 4300 block of U.S. 61 North.

* Chynne Davis, 17, 315 Evergreen Drive, was treated and released following a two-car accident at 8:39 p.m. in the 3300 block of Clay Street.

The drivers in the second cars in both wrecks were not injured.
