City man sought on drug charges surrenders

A Vicksburg man sought on two counts of possession of controlled substances following an undercover investigation surrendered Thursday, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Adam Walker, 32, 1300 Freetown Road, surrendered to police at 11:15 a.m., Stewart said. He remained in Warren County Jail this morning on $20,000 bond.

Car, electronic gear missing in city hits

A car and electronic equipment were among the items reported stolen in Vicksburg Thursday, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said:

• A Pioneer CD/Radio player valued at $350 and $150 were reported missing at 2:30 p.m. from a 1999 Chevrolet pickup in the 1000 block of Warrenton Road.

• A 2005 silver Chrysler 300 with Mississippi tag MSVELMA was reported missing at 4 p.m. from the 3900 block of Washington Street.

• A GE air conditioning window unit valued at $180 and a Sanyo DVD/VCR combo valued at $89 were reported missing at 4:52 p.m. from the 900 block of Dewitt Street.

City man injured in wreck on Clay Street

A Vicksburg man was taken to the hospital following a two-car wreck just after 1 p.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of Clay Street.

Justin Person, 27, 715 Fort Hill Drive, was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said this morning. Person was a passenger in one of the vehicles.

No other injuries were reported.

A report on the wreck was not available this morning.
