PORT GIBSON — Larry Guster died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at Claiborne County Hospital. He was 58.

Mr. Guster was a member of Mercy Seat M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Guster; his wife, Debra Guster; and a daughter, Cherri English.

He is survived by his mother, Ludie Bell Shorter of Port Gibson; two sons, Marlon D. Guster and Cory J. Guster, both of Chipley, Fla.; five daughters, Kisha Guster-Shorter and Shywon Guster, both of Port Gibson, Laprina Guster of Chipley, Tiffini Guster of Tampa, Fla., and Derinise English of New York, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, LaKen-ya Derby of Port Gibson; 27 grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives, including Joe Gusta of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mercy Seat M.B. Church with the Rev. Frank McGriggs officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home and Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
