Elvira F. Butler

Elvira F. Butler died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. She was 70.

Mrs. Butler was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke Baptist Church. She was a member of the Willing Workers Club and served on the usher board for St. Luke and Bethlehem M.B. churches.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Butler; a son, Freddie Lee Butler; her mother, Henrietta Singletary; and her father, Johnny Figures.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Roenia DeLoach of Savannah, Ga.; two brothers, Reginald Brown and Michael Brown, both of Jackson; four grandchildren, including Mathis Lee whom she reared; and two great-grandchildren.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
