Wrights honored on 50th

Billy Gene and Brenda Wright celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. They were married Nov. 19, 1958, at Port Gibson Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wright, the former Brenda Jones, is retired from Waterways Experiment Station. Mr. Wright is retired from Vicksburg Chemical Co.

They have four children, Andy Wright and wife Susan, Danny Wright and wife Laura, Kim East and husband Larry and Candi Freitag and husband Rob. They also have seven grandchildren.

The Wrights were honored Saturday with a 1950s-style sock hop at the Hyland Masonic Lodge on Grange Hall Road.
