A Vicksburg teen was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of arson stemming from reports filed since Sunday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Delzione Gleese, 17, 1950 Hope St., was arrested at 12:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of MacArthur Drive and will be charged as an adult, Stewart said.

He is believed to be responsible for throwing Molotov cocktails into residences in the 1700 block of East Avenue, the 1800 block of Vicklan Street and the 1800 block of Eisenhower Drive, Stewart said.

A Molotov cocktail is a can or bottle filled with gasoline and corked with a gasoline-soaked rag. The rag is set afire just before it is thrown at a target.

The device also is known as a petrol bomb.

Gleese was in Issaquena County Jail this morning with bond set at $10,000 per charge, Stewart said.

Man held for drugs; companion also arrested

A Vicksburg couple was arrested Tuesday, police Lt. Bobby Stewart said this morning — one on a warrant and the other for concealing the whereabouts of a fugitive.

Keith Sanders, 27, 306 Rancho Road, and Tomasina Lockheart, 32, were arrested at 6:28 a.m. at Lockheart’s home, located at 1814 Louisiana Ave.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Sanders after he was indicted by the Warren County grand jury in October for sale of controlled substance, but failed to show up for his arraignment, Stewart said.

Lockheart was charged with obstruction of justice by aiding a fugitive and was released on $10,000 bond.

Sanders was turned over to the county and remained in Warren County Jail this morning with no bond.
