Anne F. Heard died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 76.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Heard was the daughter of the late Stacy and Dot Ross Farley. She was a graduate of Carr Central High School Class of 1950 and, at the time of her death, was associated with her husband in the ownership of Heard Electric Company.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Billy L. Heard of Vicksburg; three daughters, Denise Lorant and her husband, Steve, and Terri Heard, all of Shreveport, La., and Cindy Heard of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandsons, Patrick Shea and his wife, Angela, and Kelly Shea, all of Bossier City, La.; one brother, Stacy G. Farley and his wife, Eileen, of Lumberton, Texas; a brother-in-law, Floyd Heard of Midland, Texas; and her two beloved dogs, Ruff and Tasha.

The family wishes to thank Betty Margaret Prewitt, Betty Penley, Saralie Johnson, Johnny Prewitt, Mary Brown, Bert Boleware, Mike Johnson, Donna Neal, Vickie Williamson and the doctors, nurses and staff of Mississippi Baptist Medical Center for the loving friendships, care and concern for their wife and mother in recent months.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Riles Funeral Home chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service.
