At a special called meeting Thursday the Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a contract for $3,499 with Riverside Construction Company of Vicksburg to install a curb on Pemberton Square Boulevard near the new Kroger grocery store.

Public Works Director Bubba Rainer said Riverside is currently doing curb work for Kroger and submitted a bid for the subsequent work at the stoplight near the store that is a city right of way. The contract will cover materials and labor, and Rainer said he expects it to be completed soon.
