Vicksburg Board of Architectural Review agenda items

The Vicksburg Board of Architectural Review on Tuesday:
* Agreed that any regular repairs or maintenance to historical structures, as defined in the city brochure on the historical district architecture, may be approved in-house by the planning department and are not required to be presented to the board.
* Approved a requirement for board members to notify Paula Wright in the planning department about their attendance of a board meeting within 24 hours of the scheduled meeting time.
* Approved a policy stating any board member who has three consecutive unexcused absences will be asked to resign. Unexcused absences are defined as those in which a board member had informed Paula Wright he or she would be in attendance but fail to attend.
* Approved a recommendation to the Vicksburg Board of Mayor and Aldermen that any owner of a historic building seeking a certificate of appropriateness from the city who has already received approval for a tax credit from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History may be approved in-house by the planning department.
