Services for Roosevelt Goodman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Shiloh M.B. Church with the Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Goodman died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at River Region Medical Center. He was 88.

Mr. Goodman retired from Anderson-Tully Co. He was a member and deacon at Shiloh M.B. Church and was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnson and Lizzie Beth Goodman; one sister, Roxanne Goodman; and five brothers, Jesse Goodman, Eugene Goodman, Robert Goodman, Bert Goodman and Johnson Goodman Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Lee Goodman of Vicksburg; one son, James Lee Goodman Sr. of Vicksburg; and one daughter, Leola Goodman-Billinger of Compton, Calif.
