CANTON — Gary Ralph Bishop, 63, died in the early morning on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, after a noble four-year struggle with cancer.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Tina Bishop; their two sons, Gary Reid and Charles Ernest Bishop. He is also survived by Mary Ruth Finch, Ralph Ira Magalasang Bishop and his five grandchildren, Clare, Cole, Marie, Elanor, and Samuel Bishop.

Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He retired from Bechtel Power Corporation as an electrical engineer.

He was a loving husband, dedicated father, a faithful Christian and a friend to all who knew him.

Gary, Tina, Reid and Chuck were former residents of Vicksburg.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Breeland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Canton Cemetery.
