Louise Brooks died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at her home in Vicksburg. She was 63.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of Mount Zion No. 1 M.B. Church and a teacher’s assistant with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a 1965 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School and formerly was employed as a certified nurse assistant at Covenant Health and Rehab.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Annie Harris Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Brooks Sr. of Vicksburg; two sons, Kenneth Brooks Jr. and Benjamin Brooks, both of Vicksburg; three daughters, Veronica Johnson, Angelica Brooks and Gwendolyn Harris, all of Vicksburg; a sister Sarah Taylor of Vicksburg; six grandchildren and other relatives and friends including Reginald Taylor and Ryan Taylor, both of Vicksburg.
