Elbert Stelivan

Services for Elbert Stelivan will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Stelivan died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. He was 71.

Born in Grenada, Mr. Stelivan lived and worked in Vicksburg. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

He was a self-employed brick mason and sang with the Gospel All-Stars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Joseph Stelivan; a sister, Anner Stelivan East; and three brothers, Willie Stelivan, Everett Stelivan and Joseph Stelivan.

Survivors include four daughters, Yolanda Stelivan, Yulanda Stelivan and Cynthia Stelivan, all of Seattle, Wash., and Nita Jean Stelivan of Memphis; four sons, Clarence Stelivan and Dewayne Stelivan, both of Seattle, Elbert Stelivan Jr. of Chicago and Troy Wince of Vicksburg; a sister, Alberta Anderson of Detroit; the mother of his children, Wiletha Stelivan of Seattle; and nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives, including Lilly Bell Stelivan and Billy East Jr.
