Louise Hill Brooks

Services for Louise Hill Brooks will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at King Solomon M.B. Church with the Rev. Reginald Benard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Brooks died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at her home in Vicksburg. She was 63.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of Mount Zion No. 1 M.B. Church and a teacher’s assistant with the Vicksburg Warren School District. She was a 1965 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School and formerly was employed as a certified nurse assistant at Covenant Health and Rehab.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Annie Harris Hill.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Brooks Sr. of Vicksburg; two sons, Kenneth Brooks Jr. and Benjamin Brooks, both of Vicksburg; three daughters, Veronica Johnson, Angelica Brooks and Gwendolyn Harris, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Sarah Taylor of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; and other relatives and friends, including Reginald Taylor, Ryan Taylor and members of the Hill, Parker and Mixon families, all of Vicksburg.
