RAYMOND — The men’s soccer program at Hinds Community College was recently recognized for its work in the academic field by being named a recipient of the 2007-2008 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Men’s Team Academic Award.

The Eagles posted a team grade point average of 3.06 in the 2007-2008 academic year to receive the award. The results were released by the NSCAA in December 2008.

 Head coach Doug Williams’ team also earned success on the playing field, as Hinds won their fifth straight state and regional championships in 2008.
