Warren County man jailed for third DUI

A Warren County man was in the Warren County Jail this morning on a felony charge of driving under the influence for the third time. 

William Hansford, 27, 3781 Mississippi 27 South, was arrested on Halls Ferry Road by Warren County deputies.

No bond had been set.

40 pounds of pecans among missing items

Audio equipment, eyeglasses and 40 pounds of pecans were among the items stolen in two auto burglaries reported to Vicksburg Police on Thursday.

In the first, reported at 2:04 p.m., thieves broke into a 1995 Ford F-150 parked near Main and Openwood streets and took a Sony stereo valued at $200, criminal intelligence analyst Suzan Ebeling said.

In the second, reported at 6 p.m., thieves stole a cell phone valued at $100, a cell-phone charger valued at $10, reading glasses valued at $20, sunglasses valued at $10, a jacket valued at $100 and a bag containing 40 pounds of pecans valued at $40 from a 1995 Buick Park Avenue parked in the parking lot of Ameristar Casino, 4116 Washington St., Ebeling said.

Ford reported stolen on Clay Street

A car parked in the 900 block of Clay Street was reported stolen Thursday.

The 1991 gray Ford Taurus had a license plate with the number WAC 284, criminal intelligence analyst Suzan Ebeling said.
