Evans to wed Robert March 14

Mr. and Mrs. Gregory M. Evans of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Lorine, to Stephen Douglas Robert. Mr. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Robert of Metairie, La.
Miss Evans is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlton L. Rone and Bonnie Evans, the late Robert A. Evans and the late Rita R. Evans, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. Robert is the grandson of John Robert, Gloria Fourroux and the late Alice Robert, the late Stuart Fourroux and the late Carlea Fourroux.
The bride-elect is a 2003 honor graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where she was a member of the band, softball team, Key Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and the Math and Science team.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Master of Science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Sound of Today marching band, Tau Beta Sigma and Kappa Mu Epsilon.
Miss Evans is an operations research analyst at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center.
The prospective groom is a 1999 graduate of Brother Martin High School of New Orleans, where he served as captain of the football team and was named a 5A Academic All-State Golden Crusader. He was a member of Student Ambassadors and Mu Alpha Theta.
He received Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Louisiana State University and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from Mississippi State University. He was a member of the LSU Rugby Club, American Society of Civil Engineering student chapter, Chi Epsilon honor society and Tau Beta Pi Association.
Mr. Robert is a research structural engineer at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center.
Vows will be exchanged in a nuptial Mass at 2 p.m. March 14, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
