EDWARDS — Thelma M. Roper died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 63.
Mrs. Roper was born in Edwards to M.C. and Parlee Dixon Nelson.
She is survived by two sons, A.B. Roper Jr. and Albert B. Roper, both of Edwards; one daughter, Jacqueline Carlisle of Biloxi; five sisters, Mary Nelson and Sue Ann Mack, both of Edwards, Carrie B. Nelson of Byram, Laura Grayson of Clinton and Leevella Harris of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ratliff Chapel M.B. Church in Edwards with Elder Michael Nesby officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service
