“It’ll be a great thing for families to bring their kids,” SCHC executive director Annette Kirklin said, adding the quartet will perform comedy acts between tunes. “I just wanted to bring this to the community because you don’t really hear it any more.”

Formed in November 1996, the Clinton-based quartet — tenor Jeff Henegar, lead vocalist Greg Gibson, bass Brad Feaster and baritone Bill Bacon — has performed shows at various locations throughout the Southeast.

The four come from diverse professional backgrounds and are from the Jackson area. Henegar is an associate professor of pathology at University of Mississippi Medical Center. Gibson is a public relations coordinator for the Mississippi Farm Bureau Federation. Feaster is an auditor for the state’s Public Employees Retirement System. And, Bacon has been music minister for First Baptist Church in Clinton since 1976.

“With nearly 50 years of combined barbershop experience, Brick Street provides quality entertainment guaranteed to make you laugh — and make you groan,” said information from the quartet’s Web site, harmonize.com/brickstreet/.

Show time is 7 p.m., and tickets are $5 for SCHC members and $7 for nonmembers. Children’s tickets are $3. For information, contact the SCHC at 601-631-2997 or info@southernculture.org.
