Margie Marie Rogers

Margie Marie Rogers died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at the Claiborne Senior Care Center in Port Gibson. She was 85.

Born in Richland, Miss., Mrs. Rogers had lived in Vicksburg since 1999. She was the daughter of the late Earl Burton Watkins and Susie Etta Barlow Watkins.

Mrs. Rogers was a veteran of World War II, serving as a nurse in the Navy. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pauley Joe Rogers; and four sisters, Juanita Little, Melba Louise Harris, Betty Sue Watkins and Burnell Hilton.

She is survived by her brother, Earl Barlow Watkins of Vicksburg.

Private services will be at the National Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Riles Funeral Home.
