Jack and Jean Sturgis will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 8. They were married Feb. 8, 1959, at Edgewood Baptist Church in West Monroe, La., with a reception following at the bride’s parents home. They will be honored by their daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Jerry Luckett, Penny and Mark Dement, Jackie Sturgis and Vickie and Shawn Williams, and their grandchildren Jeremy Luckett, Casey and Jim Pearson, Jeffrey Luckett and Kaleb Williams, and great-grandchildren Ariel Self and Adison Pearson, with a reception from 2 until 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Masonic Lodge on Grange Hall Road. All family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
