Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pierson Waring III of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Jordan of Brandon, to Keith Douglas Upchurch of Jackson. Mr. Upchurch is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Douglas Upchurch of Vicksburg.

Miss Waring is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anthony Gerache Sr. and the late Joanne Ryan Gerache and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pierson Waring Jr. and the late Betty Jeane Williams Waring, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Upchurch is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sherard Jones of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Harrison Upchurch of McComb.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi.

Miss Waring is employed by Prudential Gateway Real Estate in Madison.

The prospective groom is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he served as president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Mr. Upchurch is employed by Zimmer Orthopedics.

The wedding will be at 4 p.m. May 16, 2009, at St. Paul Catholic Church. A reception will follow at the Vicksburg Country Club.
