Services for Carolyn W. “Peaches” Whitney will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church, 339 Alpine St., with the Rev. Curtis Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Mrs. Whitney died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 62.

Ms. Whitney was born in Yazoo City and was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church. She was a homemaker and former employee of BellSouth and Cooper Lighting.
