PORT GIBSON — Geneva Gibson died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was 92.
Mrs. Gibson was a member of and mother at Old Come and See Baptist Church of Port Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Gibson and Cecilla Davenport; five sisters, Willie Bates, Fannie Kemp, Sorelle Nash, Beatrice Stevenson and Rachel Hall; and five brothers, Damon Ward, William Gibson, George Gibson, Louis Gibson and Nora Gibson.
She is survived by a son, Charlie Miller Jr. of Port Gibson; a brother, Johnny Gibson of Rolling Fork; two sisters, Pearlina Bailey and Janie Brown, both of Port Gibson; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Old Come and See Baptist, with the Rev. Ervin Cosey officiating. Burial, under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home and Burial Association, will be at Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Monday and noon until the service Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.
