Georgia Elizabeth Morson

Georgia Elizabeth Morson died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was 79.
Mrs. Morson was born in Bay Springs and had been a Vicksburg resident for the past 60 years. She worked as a seamstress for 15 years before retiring, having worked at McRae’s and The Hub. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Morson of Vicksburg; five daughters, Mary Elizabeth Morson, Ann Heidelberg and Kay McBroom, all of Vicksburg, Rose Heidelberg of Newton and Kathy Watts of Texarkana, Ark.; two brothers, Melvin Littles of Jackson and Ken Littles of West Monroe; one sister, Donna Gail Sinclair of West Monroe; and 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall with Minister Kenneth Beard officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ron Waters, Arliss Heidelberg, Johnny Morson, Robert Cobra, Don Daniels and Will Boyd.
