MDA seeking vendors for wholesale show

Registration for the 2009 Mississippi Market Wholesale Show is under way.

The June 4-5 event, hosted by the Mississippi Development Authority, will be at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson.

Early registration ends April 1, and booth prices start at $295. After that, the price rises to $395.

Hampton Inn and Suites receives awards

Vicksburg’s Hampton Inn and Suites has received two awards from its parent company, the Hampton Brand.

The Clay Street hotel received this year’s national Circle of Excellence Award. It also received for the fifth time the Excellence in Quality designation on Hampton’s Outstanding Quality Assurance Evaluation.

The Vicksburg property is among the hotel chain’s top 10 percent. Hampton operates more than 1,500 properties.
