Miss Strawn to marry Mr. Taylor on March 14

James and Janice Strawn of Aberdeen announce the engagement of their daughter, Lynette Virginia of Starkville, to James Steven Taylor, also of Starkville. Mr. Taylor is the son of Paula Sue Paxton of Starkville and James Keith Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.

Miss Strawn is the granddaughter of the late Willie and Virginia Curtis and Virginia Strawn and the late James L. Strawn, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Taylor is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Paxton of Jackson, Jo T. Taylor of Olive Branch and the late James L. Taylor of Oxford.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Warren Central High School. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in education.

Miss Strawn is a teacher and coach for the Columbus School District.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Ridgeland High School. He is pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Mr. Taylor is in the Marine Corps Reserve.

The wedding will be at 6 p.m. March 14, 2009, on Orange Beach, Ala. A reception will follow at the Orange Beach Senior Center. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
