Vicksburg Magic AAU hoops tryouts

The Vicksburg Magic AAU basketball team will hold tryouts this month at the Jackson Street Community Center.  The tryouts for grades 9-10 are scheduled for Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9-11 a.m., Feb. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 28 from 9-11 a.m. For information, call Peter Anderson at 601-619-9998.

Clear Creek Ladies to host registration drive

The Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association will have a kickoff registration drive on Saturday. The event will be at the Clear Creek pavilion from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Refreshments will be served.

Vicksburg Buccaneers football registration

The Vicksburg Buccaneers youth football team is taking applications for players and cheerleaders ages 6 through 12 for the 2009 season. Vicksburg schedules spring tennis camp

The City of Vicksburg will host a spring tennis camp for ages 8-17 and adults from March 9 until March 13 at Halls Ferry Park. The childrens’ camp will run from 4 to 7 p.m. each day and the adult camp is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. each day. The cost is $25 per person and registration will be accepted starting today until March.  Registration forms can be found at The Vicksburg Post, Just Duett Sports and the Sports Center.

Vicksburg Warren Flag Football league

The Vicksburg Warren Flag Football League is registering players for the spring season. Deadline is March 8 and the season starts on March 22. All games will be played on Sunday. For information, call James Judge at 601-415-4500.

Clear Creek golf lessons

Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament

The Tallulah Bass Club will host the first Zeke West Memorial Bass Tournament on Feb. 28 at Lake Bruin State Park at 5 a.m. The tournament will benefit a scholarship fund set up for any senior going to college in the outdoor field from any public or private school in the Warren County area.
