Ralph Gary Ware

GREENVILLE — Ralph Gary Ware died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 70.

Mr. Ware was born in Darlove and graduated from Hollandale Public Schools. He was a mechanic for Russell Motor Co. before owning and operating Sears in Rolling Fork from 1978 until 1991, when he retired.

He was a member of Darlove Baptist Church and served in the National Guard and Army Reserve.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marcus Ware.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Ware of Greenville; two daughters, Gwen Holcomb of Grace and Carol Hunter of Glen Allan; two brothers, Charles Ware Jr. of Darlove and Homer Ware of Anza, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Boone-Wells Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow at Hollandale City Cemetery. Visitation will be until the service at the funeral home.
