Essie Mae Newsome died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 52.

Mrs. Newsome was of Baptist faith. She worked at Jacques’ Restaurant as an attendant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Sr. and Slyvia Joyner Wilson; and one brother, Willie James Wilson.

Robbins Funeral Home in Vicksburg has charge of the arrangements.
