PORT GIBSON — Pauline Bostic Starnes died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Claiborne County Nursing Center. She was 92.

Born in North Carolina, Mrs. Starnes had lived in Port Gibson since 1951. She was a retired Entergy employee and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, the Rev. William E. Lowrance and Austin Ladell Starnes.

Survivors include one son, Bill Lowrance of McLean, Va.; one daughter, Betty Winklebrandt of Sacramento, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.
