Lurline M. Campbell

Lurline M. Campbell died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Promise Specialty Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Campbell was a lifelong resident of the St. Bayou community and was retired from the U.S. government as a purchasing agent. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Campbell; her parents, J.K, and Katie Powell McNeill; and a great-grandson, Austin Dover.

Survivors include two daughters, Gayle Ireland of Enoree, S.C., and Pamela Ballenger of Vicksburg; two sisters, Loryce Hawn of Vicksburg and Bobbie Brown of Belzoni; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Bryan Ables officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork.
