INDIANOLA — Addie Frank Russell died Friday, March 6, 2009, at South Sunflower County Hospital in Indianola. She was 94.

Mrs. Russell was born in Sweetwater, Fla., to Emma Sheehan and Rushes Voldeia West. She was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Yazoo County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis James Russell Sr.

Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Pitcher of Yazoo City; two sons, Wiley Russell of Cleveland and Otis James “O.J.” Russell Jr. of Vicksburg; a sister, Margaret Montgomery of Southaven; four brothers, Eugene West of Lyon, Miss., J.W. West of Canton, Texas, and Paul Wiley West and Dennis West, both of Grand Prairie, Texas; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Revs. Bruce Bryant and Al Pitcher officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City.
