Mr. and Mrs. Victor Jerald Roberts of Hattiesburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Brooke, to Alan Brent Cappaert. Mr. Cappaert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lynn Cappaert of Vicksburg.

Miss Roberts is the granddaughter of Mrs. Delma Jones Roberts and the late Mr. Roberts and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blair Tonner of Diamondhead.

Mr. Cappaert is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Cappaert of Vicksburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Denton Graham of Biloxi.

The bride-elect received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College, where she was president of Kappa Delta sorority. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Mississippi College School of Law.

Miss Roberts formerly served as law clerk to Justice Michael K. Randolph of the Mississippi Supreme Court.

The prospective groom received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Mr. Cappaert serves as vice president of Cappaert Manufactured Housing Inc.

Vows will be exchanged April 25, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg. A reception will follow at Lake Terrace Convention Center.
