Family Bird Walk scheduled for April 4
The Jackson Audubon Society Family Bird Walk will be at 8 a.m. April 4 at LeFleurs Bluff State Park Campground in Jackson.
The walks are each first Saturday, except in January and December, and are led by experienced birders and members of the society.
Entrance to the park is $3 per vehicle. Children younger than 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Watercolor workshop this weekend at VAA
The Vicksburg Art Association will offer a watercolor print workshop.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and March 22 at the Firehouse Gallery, Main and Openwood streets. Ron Alexander, a retired Louisiana State University art instructor, will teach the workshop. The fee is $75 per person. For information, call 601-634-0434.
Dulcimer group to play in Natchez

Youth orchestra to perform March 29
The Mississippi Youth Symphony Orchestra will present its seniors recital at 3 p.m. March 29.

Night hike scheduled at Poverty Point
A Poverty Point State Historic Site ranger will lead a night hike at 7:30 Saturday.
The event will feature an orientation, 1 1/2-mile hike and campfire story time. Participants should dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
Admission is $2 and includes access to the museum and video and tram tours. Children younger than 12 and seniors older than 62 will be admitted free.

Red Hat Weekend set in Ridgeland
The Red Hat Society will host a Red Hot Red Hat Weekend in Ridgeland March 27-29.
A High Tea will open the festivities at 2 p.m. March 27 at the Embassy Suites hotel, 400 W. Parkway Place.
“Hats! The Musical” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. March 27-28 and 2:30 p.m. March 29 at Ridgeland High School.
Fashion in Bloom will take place at 9 a.m. March 28 at Northpark Mall.
