The engagement of Jennifer Lynne Johnston to Stephen Lee McMillin, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., is announced today. The wedding will be at 6 p.m. May 23, 2009, at Crawford Street United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at the Rainbow Room.

Miss Johnston is the daughter of Dr. Walter Easterling Johnston Jr. and the late Maxine Irby Johnston of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Easterling Johnston Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McGriff Irby, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. McMillin is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Fitten Lamar McMillin Jr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Fitten Lamar McMillin Sr. of Little Rock, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard Arlene Ellingson of Milaca, Minn.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and soccer, tennis and cross-country teams. She was a member of the Sub-Debs and Vicksburg Cotillion Club.

She received a Bachelor of Accountancy from Mississippi State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority

Miss Johnston is a Certified Public Accountant and is an audit senior associate for KPMG.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of St. Aloysius High School, where he was a member of the football team.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Mississippi State University and a paralegal certificate from the University of Mississippi. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.

Mr. McMillin is a law student at Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he is a Juris Doctor candidate for May.
