PORT GIBSON — Nellie Coleman died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Patients Choice Hospital in Port Gibson. She was 96.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Coleman; her parents, Samuel and Julia Green Watts; and brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son, Robert Coleman of Denver; two daughters, Carolyn Smith of Port Gibson and Gloria Hampton of Bossier City, La.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Christian Church in Lorman with Elder Walter Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 tonight at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson with family hour from 6 until 7 and Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
