TALLULAH — Funeral services for Robert K. “Bob” Laird, age 76, were at 11 a.m. today, March 24, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Tallulah.

Mr. Laird was born April 5, 1932, and passed away March 22, 2009. He was a native of Flora, Miss., and moved to Tallulah in 1949. Following graduation from Tallulah High School and Louisiana State University, he served three years in the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Smith Laird; brother, Jack Laird; and sisters, Loraine L. Smith and Maxine L. Stegal.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tony Lourens of Germantown, Tenn.; two grandsons, Colin and Tyler Lourens.; a brother, William E. Laird of Monroe, La.; and a sister, Lynda L. McKellar of Brandon.
