Jessie Hicks threw seven strong innings, and helped his own cause by going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, as Port Gibson (4-9, 2-5 Division 6-4A) beat Florence.

Hicks struck out six, walked five, and scattered four hits in his complete-game victory. His double keyed a four-run first inning that gave the Blue Waves a lead they never relinquished.
