Eight sentenced

In Warren County Circuit Court the week ending Friday:

• Frank M. Garcia, 39, 883 W. Tampico, Raymondville, Texas, was sentenced by Judge Frank Vollor to 20 years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $9,000 in fines and costs, after pleading guilty March 3 to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Garcia was arrested Oct. 14, 2006.

• James C. Gatlin, 19, 3400 U.S. 80, pleaded guilty to burglary, non-residential, and was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to the Mississippi Department of Corrections Restitution Center in Hinds County followed by three years of probation, plus $11,322.50 in fines and restitution. He also must earn a GED in one year. Gatlin was arrested July 17.

• Gary T. Knight, 27, 200 Georgia Drive, Pensacola, Fla., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and was sentenced by Patrick to five years in prison followed by three years of probation, plus fines and costs of $3,822.50. Knight was arrested May 14.

• Devaris S. Moton, 23, 211 Belva Drive, was sentenced by Vollor to 15 years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $5,000 in fines and costs, after pleading guilty March 3 to sale of cocaine. Moton was indicted by a grand jury Aug. 19.

• Carlos D. Rollins, 28, 535 Hall Road, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Patrick to three years in prison followed by three years of probation, plus fines and costs of $1,797.50. Rollins was arrested July 2.

• Kenneth C. Ross, 22, 704 Lee St., pleaded guilty to three counts of grand larceny and was sentenced by Patrick to the MDOC Restitution Center in Hinds County followed by five years of probation, plus $12,672.40 in restitution and costs. Ross was arrested July 28.

• John S. Williams, 26, 21477 E. U.S. 98/400 E. Berry, Foley, Ala., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and was sentenced by Patrick to five years in prison followed by three of years probation, plus fines of $3,822.50. Williams was arrested May 14.

In Sharkey County Circuit Court:

• Ivory Harold Flood, 141 Hunt St., Rolling Fork, was found guilty of violating probation and was sentenced by Patrick to work for the City of Rolling Fork and apply his wages to $1,312 in fines and probation fees. Flood was arrested Aug. 8, 2004, for aggravated assault.
